Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it to (Abu Dhabi book fair)

but {art tray} did :D I participated with my {oriental madinah}
a creative illustration licensed by a children book publisher..
am still waiting for the photos of the bfair to share
with you but for now, here is a glimpse...

{new color swatch}

Just wanted to try new color swatches and found this

(soft ice cream swatch ) plus some other toned down swatches

that I really enjoyed trying! Am still a big fan of BRIGHT

but a little change from time to time can be refreshing…

More pens … I know, they keep pouring :)

Feeling like school fever already,

a little early for that as the new season start on September!

But my little one is so exited and getting me in the mood!

I am really glad to be part of this project;

my part was to illustrate all 28 initials for every chapter.

I had a lot of fun doing it, and when I was done
 I noticed that I was left with a whole bunch of {patterns}
which am sharing with you today!

{Honfleur}

I was really inspired by the photography of a friend "Jessy Coisnon " to the city of Honfleur { which is a commune in the Norman département of Calvados in France, located on the southern bank of the estuary of the Seine}, the mood of it, the quietness and its architecture.

Honfleur especially known for its old, beautiful picturesque port, characterized by its houses with slate-covered frontages, painted many times by artists, including in particular Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Jongkind, forming the école de Honfleur (Honfleur school) which contributed to the appearance of the Impressionist movement. The Sainte-Catherine church, which has a bell-tower separate from the principal building, is the largest church made out of wood in France.
